FACT: We have some of the best clients who walk through our doors! Some of which do amazing things throughout our community and don't get recognized for it. Each month we will be naming our "Amazing Client Of the Month". We feel that everyone should see and hear these amazing stories we hear in our chairs!
Bonnie is 53, we met Bonnie while volunteering at Beverly Farms. Since then she comes to visit us at the salon and won't let anyone else cut her hair. She knows where to go for a great haircut ;) She loves Gospel Hour, choir, and Bingo. We love you Bonnie and enjoy seeing your contagious smile come through our door. Merry Christmas!
Why is she so great? She is an awesome military wife, mother/grandmother to some pretty awesome kids! This woman has a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back! What does she like to do on her free time?? A friend of hers owns Lovespaws (Lebanon, IL) and hangs out with the dogs while drinking coffee. With her love for boxers, she recently fostered two adorable boxers and found them great homes! Keep being awesome Jennifer we love seeing you and your family at our salon!
If you know Julie you know she lives and breathes the color pink! Who else could possibly be October client of the month?? Her list of accomplishments is to long to list but her pride and joy is her non profit organization Working Towards A Cure. Working Towards a Cure is a 100% volunteer run organization that pays for things that insurance can not or will not pay for, for breast cancer patients in Madison, St. Clair and Jersey counties in Illinois. So far they've donated over $250,000 to cancer patients. To learn more please visit workingtowardsacure.com
Here's a perfect example of why we do Amazing Client Of the Month! There are truly amazing caring people out there who do so much for our community and we have the privilege of hearing their stories in our chair and feel the need to share them with the world!
Neena is such a compassionate driven young woman! She's the branch manager for the Bank of Edwardsville in Bethalto, treasurer for the Bethalto rotary, Zeta tau alpha alumni, involved with the Reach Out and Read program in Alton schools, United way fiscal representative allocation committee, Riverbend growth association member and sits in on their promotion committee and was recently chair of their annual women's seminar. The most important job above all a new mom!
Angela is founder of Churches on the Streets which travels across the riverbend and St. Louis area feeding and supplying homeless with essentials and clothing as well as the word of God and prayer, she also speaks about human trafficking awareness and is involved in many charities. She is also a wife and wonderful mother of 3 and grandmother of 5!
Going on five years now we've had the joy of assisting Donna Karpan in her hair needs. Not one time have we seen her come through our doors without a pretty smile on her face and always eager to know how everyone else is doing. You would never know all her loss and heart ache she has experienced over the last year losing her mother, father in law, and sister. Despite everything she has gone through she still always finds time to help others. She's a wood River Rotary member and club secretary, former team captain for relay for life and still participate as a team member, Vice President at fire safety and a Grandma to two beautiful baby girls!
If you know Reda Iskarous there is no explanation needed to why he's our client of the month because he truly is AMAZING!! Our community is blessed to have someone as humble and kind hearted as him.
When we first decided to do Amazing Client Of the Month one of the first people who came to mind was Earlene! What a wonderful lady to meet. What doesn't she do?? She is a member at St. John's Church in Wood River where she helps with numerous activities. She belongs to the garden club that plants all the flowers in downtown Alton every spring/summer. She volunteers at operation blessing, the food pantry in cottage hills, also belongs to a quilting club which over the years she has quilted 50+ quilts for herself and all of her loved ones. This year she received the appearance award from the city of wood river for her yard. In her down time she goes to yoga several days a week, and helps watch her great grand kids by taking them and picking them up from school. She can even be seen outside with the great grand kids playing volleyball or kick ball!
